To celebrate the holidays, the meditation this Friday will be Owning Our Light. This topic speaks to the core intention of all the monthly meditations I have been facilitating since 2018. It is a great way to wrap up this part of the journey.
I invite you to join me this Friday as a way to honor your light and your journey. Sign up using this link – Owning Our Light. If you have been part of the group, you won’t need to sign up. I’ll send you the Zoom link later.
During this time of the year when the nights are longer in the Northern Hemisphere, some of us may be prone to feeling withdrawn, listless or sad. When we are feeling low, the mind also tends to dwell on what is not working.
Whether we are feeling down because of the dreary weather or happenings in life, it is helpful to connect with others who can uplift us and remind us of life’s beauty and bounty. The gifts of loved ones and communities cannot be denied.
As we benefit from the presence of our loved ones, it is also important to pause and allocate time for quiet moments. When we take time to slow down and be still, we are more able to connect with the light within us.
The light within us manifests in many ways. We might notice deep peace or tenderness from just being. Insights and ahas might come to us without the need to figure out. Intuition and unknown gifts might surface unexpectedly.
The more we practice feeling the light within us now, the easier it is to reconnect with that throughout the year. Our attention determines the quality of our lives. Are your thoughts and words supporting the future you stand for?
There is a fine but important difference between sharing and commiserating. It is through commiserating that we, despite our best intentions, can keep ourselves trapped in the same dynamics, hindering our abilities to leap forward.
The veil is thinner at this time. This means high frequency light is more accessible to us. By using this time wisely, we amplify our light so that it can hold and support us in fulfilling our dreams and living our purpose.
Meditation and gratitude practice are common ways to connect with the light within us. Other ways that soften the density and bring in more light include coloring, singing, and daydreaming. Engage out of delight, not out of “shoulds.”
I wish you a peaceful and nourishing holiday season. May you feel the illumination deep within, trust in the plenitude of life, and follow the light within for gracious unfoldment of your life journey.
